Description
Main DescriptionAssets which have completed the procurement process (for which the title is held by the overall business) and which are available for productive deployment. During their useful life, they are managed by the Asset Management process.
Key Considerations

The various states of this work product include:

  • Deallocated - Assets that are no longer deployed to specific owners. These assets are free to be allocated to new owners.
  • Disposed - Assets that have reached the end of their useful lifecycle and have been removed from service and inventory. Disposal can involve selling, scrapping or recycling.
  • Reactivated - An asset that was previously retired, but has been brought back into active service.
  • Retired - An asset that is to be removed from service. Such an asset will be in a storage location until it is either restored (recovered) for active use or disposed.
