Continuous activity that captures and gathers data via a variety of vehicles to monitor capacity, performance, utilization, and demand (i.e. number of logons) of resources and services. Also, business volumes (demand on the services and resources) are monitored. This task stores capacity management data in the Capacity Management Information System (CMIS) such as business, service, financial, technical, and utilization data.
