Analyze performance data for IT Services and IT Resources, including measures for response times, elapsed times and
throughput ratios for selected pre-defined measurement periods and intervals. Analysis of performance objectives will
start at the IT Resource level. If the scope of the capacity plan includes IT Services, then the analysis is extended
to cover the performance objectives at the IT Service or IT Application level. In particular, pay attention to the
formal service levels that have capacity and performance management content. Note that there are parallel activities
for analyzing service and resource demand, service and resource utilization and current and future business demand so
that subsequent correlation of analysis results is cohesive and consistent.
