Review the information about CIs that need to be included or updated. Determine if:

• The request is an appropriate type of request
• The information being submitted comes from a trusted and authorized source.  Trusted sources for some updates may come from users.  Other trusted sources may be service desk personnel or individuals involved in implementing an authorized change. 
• There is sufficient justification for the request.  This is governed by Configuration Management policy.
