Obtain all relevant data needed before the audit can be carried out.  Obtain only data relevant to the scope of the audit

Obtain information about configuration items (i.e. assets that are operational).  Use Asset Management to inventory all assets that are represented as Configuration Items in the CMS. This may include automated scans, interviews, or other approaches.

Obtain financial data necessary to perform the audit.  Financial aspects of asset management will be shared with Asset Management.

Obtain additional data as needed.
