Create plans for those instances when the deployment fails. Identify how to remove the deployed items, if possible, to return the related infrastructure to the state it was before deployment. 

In some instances, it may not be able to move back completely to the earlier state.  In those cases, the remediation plan may involve moving only partially to the earlier state.  Workarounds may be needed to reduce the effects of the failed deployment.
